Tami Soprani has been involved in the field of Medicine since 1972 as a licensed nurse, acupuncturist and educator. She began her nursing career in San Francisco Bay Area and spent 17 years practicing medical surgical nursing while studying art and the University of California, Berkeley.
Compelled by a vision of medicine as an art that addressed not just the presenting symptoms of the patient but the cause of them, she began a mentorship with the renown professor of Five Element Acupuncture, JR Worley. She studied with Dr. Worlsey from 1981 until his death in 2003, completing Licentiate and BA degrees in Acupuncture from his college in England, The College of Traditional Acupuncture. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture institute in Columbia, Maryland.
Tami has cofounded the Traditional Acupuncture clinic in San Francisco and Five Element Healthcare in Portland Oregon and has taught acupuncture at Five Element Healthcare and other post graduate programs from 2001 to the present.
Of particular interest to Tami is the roll nutrition and life style choices impact our health.
She is licensed in Oregon and California as a Licensed Acupuncturist and has been certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists (NCCAOM) since 1985.
