Joseph Soprani M.Ac L.Ac
Joseph Soprani has been involved in the field of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine as a practitioner, educator, administrator and consultant since 1985. He began his clinical training in 1983 under Dr. J.R. Worsley and studied with him until his death on June 2, 2003. Joseph has degrees of Licentiate and Bachelor of Acupuncture from The College of Traditional Acupuncture (UK) and Master of Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland. He is certified in Acupuncture and Herbology (by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), Classical Five Element Acupuncture™ (Worsley Institute) and Zero Balancing Association). He was on the acupuncture committee for the Board of Medical Examiners for the state of Oregon from 1995 to 2003.
Joseph has served as clinical faculty for the following institutions: The Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture, The Academy of Five Element Acupuncture, The Five Element Acupuncture Trainings, The Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture and the Taoist Institute of Education and Acupuncture. He was the Clinic Director of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and taught on the faculty.
Along with his wife, Tamazine Soprani, Joseph was the cofounder of Five Element Healthcare in Portland, Oregon where he presently practices.
